    Conference Venue:

    The Conference Venue is in the Union Building of the Adelaide University North Terrace Campus. This building is close to Victoria Drive in the city. Click here to see the Campus Map.

Accommodation

    Accommodation and related bookings will not be handled directly by the conference organiser. You will be required to book and pay for your own accommodation directly with Adelaide hotels and university linked residences.

    Visitors from outside South Australia will find Adelaide accommodation and restaurant/cafe prices to be relatively low cost in comparison with most of their home locales. This will be particularly so, given exchange rates on the $A, for visitors from such countries as Japan, USA, and the UK.

    The following suggested accommodation options have been selected to provide a range of styles and costs and are all within close proximity to the conference venue. When booking accommodation, be sure to advise that you are with the APIRA 2001 conference, to obtain the prices listed below. All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars.

    The Richmond Hotel, recently refurbished, is one of Australia's top 15 small hotels. It is situated on Rundle Mall, the main retail shopping area of Adelaide and is close to the cafes and restaurants of the east end of Rundle Street. It is directly behind the venue for the Emerging Scholars' Colloquium and a short walk across the road to the University campus, where the conference will be held.

    The Paringa Hotel is about 10 minutes' walk from the University campus, where the conference will be held and is at the western end of Rundle Mall, the main retail shopping area of Adelaide. Hindley Street has a variety of cafes, restaurants and clubs, which are open till late.
