The School of Commerce offers students the opportunity to study international business at undergraduate level. The Bachelor of Commerce (International Business) is designed for students who would like to work in a general management position in a company involved in international business or who wish to use their expertise working for public bodies. Due to the global market, work opportunities exist in small and medium sized firms and also large corporations. In addition this degree provides an opportunity for graduates to work for international aid agencies if they have an interest in this field.
The degree strengthens teamwork, communication and analytical skills and provides specialised studies in international management and marketing. Students also undertake either one semester of study abroad, study a foreign language or international cultural studies. Obviously all of the different academic elements that make up this program aim to produce a well-rounded graduate who has the opportunity to work in a number of fields related to international business. |
