The Commerce Prize for the Most Distinguished Master of Commerce Graduate
The School of Commerce has offered to provide annually a prize to the most distinguished graduate over all the Master of Commerce Majors and the following rules have therefore been made:
- The prize shall be known as “The Commerce Prize for the Most Distinguished Master of Commerce Graduate”.
- The prize shall be awarded annually, commencing in 2007, until sponsorship is sought.
- The annual value of the prize shall be $300.
- The prize shall be awarded by the School of Commerce on the recommendation of the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Professions to the most distinguished graduand, with a distinction average or higher, over all the Master of Commerce majors, provided that, in the opinion of the examiners, the candidate is of sufficient merit.
- Where two or more candidates are of equal merit, the prize shall be shared equally.
- No award will be given to students achieving below a distinction average.
- The terms of the prize may be varied at any time, by agreement between the School of Commerce and the University.
